Comment: I would like to know whether my dining table is in fact a piece of furniture originally used onboard the USS Gyatt? If someone can help identify it, please feel free to contact me.

Comment: He told me the style and design of the table was consistent with a table that would have been used in the wardroom of a junior officer. It has two leaves that slide out from under to expand for use by six people.

Comment: I was telling my brother about a dining table I have, which has stenciled underneath "712 TABLE WALNUT". He suggested I do a search online for DD-712, as he believed the table to have been part of the furnishings on a Navy ship.

Favorite Memory: After being out to sea the first time for 60 days, we were pulling into NY and seeing the Statute of Liberty at a distance was such a great site to see! Saw it many times after that, but the 1st time was the best.
If any of my shipmates are reading this I would love to hear from you.
